My Practice
I provide long-term and short-term counseling for individuals, couples, groups and families. The duration of therapy is affected by the nature of your concerns and what your goals are.

I tailor therapy for each client, but I focus on modifying certain thought and behavior patterns. I help my clients identify and correct specific errors in what they are thinking that results in painful and negative feelings. If changes are made in the thinking process, changes in emotions and behavior will follow.

Appointments
My regular business hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but I make evening appointments on an as-needed basis to accommodate my clients.

Fees
My standard fee is $80 for a 50-minute session. Payment is due at the time of the session. I can be flexible if you need other billing arrangements, so please ask. One option is to to spread out your payments over time by using a credit card.

My fees are based on the time I commit to work with you in session. I charge for any scheduled session that is not canceled 24 hours in advance.

Insurance Philosophy
My fee structure is substantially lower than prevailing rates in San Antonio because I do not deal with insurance companies. If you want to file for insurance reimbursement, I am happy to provide you with a simple billing statement.

Potential Benefits and Risks
While counseling may help you achieve a greater understanding of your personal goals and values, you may feel some discomfort, emotional strain or worse during treatment. This is a normal part of the change process. Working with me or any counselor may lead to unexpected consequences. For example, you may choose to give up a job or leave a relationship rather than endure the emotional consequences of staying with it. This may cause discomfort in others that you may not have originally intended. I cannot guarantee benefits and particular outcomes.

Alternative Services
It is important to me that you feel that you are benefitting from our time together. If at any time you feel that you are not getting what you want or need out of therapy, please discuss your concerns with me. There are many counseling resources available. I will assist you in finding other professionals for consultation.
