Lucy
has worked in the mental health field for 15 years. She is a licensed
professional counselor in private practice, working with clients individually
and in groups in her San Antonio and Boerne offices. She also deals
with crisis situations at the Rape Crisis Center of San Antonio and
Alpha Home, a residence for substance abuse recovery clients. A sought-after
speaker, she presents her work at conferences and training workshops
for fellow counselors, educators and parents. She speaks on numerous
subjects, including stress management, identifying trauma in the addiction
population, adults molested as children and clinical ethics for counselors.
Lucy earned a master’s degree in psychology from Texas A&M
University—Corpus Christi.
She is licensed by the State of Texas as a licensed professional
counselor. She is also a licensed specialist in school psychology.
She is certified in advanced training for critical incident response.
A member of the National Honor Society for Psychology, Lucy has served
on the faculties of Del Mar College and Our Lady of the Lake University,
teaching psychology, counseling, stress management and life span development
courses.
Lucy is a member of the Hill Country Counselors Association and Hill
Country Women in Business. She serves on the board of the Boerne Public
Library Foundation. She enjoys volunteering, reading and the culinary
arts.
